The Sarthe leads from Angers to Le Mans and is part of the waterwaysystem of the Anjou. From there it is not navigable anymore. The Anjou region is famous for its beautiful castles, its vinyards and its surprisingly mild climate. The Sarthe as well as all other canals of Brittany are being used for tourism only.
