The Espade, available on the Canal du Centre is specifically designed for disabled people and those with mobility problems. A gangway with mechanical winch allows
wheelchair access, a twin bed cabin with anti-bedsore mattresses, wide shower with wheelchair access, pivoting WC and handrails throughout. The steering position has an elevating plat-form
and as well as the traditional reverse helm there are joystick controls that enable easy steering. The foredeck can accommodate two wheelchairs and has an emergency gangway
with electric winch. Access to this deck is via the interior by means of a lift.
