Marne au Rhin Canal
The western part of the canal, which leads from Vitry le François de la Moselle to Fronard is hardly known by tourists.
The eastern part, from Fronard by Nancy to Strasbourg however is widely used for touristical navigation.
The canal crosses the Alsace-Lorraine region that is rich in diversity of landscapes, culture and nature,
not to forget the famous boat-elevator.
Houilleres de la Sarre
The connexion with the canal latéral à la Marne au Rhin and the Mosel is made by this old coal canal that has been fully navigable again for some time. After Sarreguemines you pass the German border and you return through Saarbrücken into the Mosel. It represents an untypical French region: Lorraine. Our base is in Mittersheim and we are studying the possibility to add another base to it.
